I have been big on exploring the texas wines lately and enjoying the lesser known varietals. I eschewed grapes like cabernet thinking texas can't possibly keep up with the great cabs we make in cali. but i have to say i was very pleasantly surprised with this cabernet and will definitely drink again. it goes very well on its own (verus the turnbull and silver oak we usu drink) but transitions to main meal very well too. my friend liked it as it wasn't overly dry and I tend to stock more dry reds. hope this was helpful!
